Nach dem großen 50jährigem Jubiläum im Jahr 2025 sowie der umfangreichen, ebenso erfolgreichen Tournee 2026 setzen KARAT zum nächsten Höhenflug an: Denn Claudius Dreilich (Gesang), Bernd Römer (Gitarre), Martin Becker (Keyboards), Daniel Bätge (Bass) und Heiko Jung (Schlagzeug) feiern 2027 „45 Jahre Der blaue Planet“. Was sie zum Anlass nehmen, auf der 2027er Tournee ihr Meisterwerk in den Mittelpunkt zu rücken.

Als „Der blaue Planet“ 1982 veröffentlicht wurde, befanden sich KARAT im siebenten Jahr ihres Bestehens, mit Songs wie „König der Welt“, „Schwanenkönig“ und „Über sieben Brücken musst du gehn“ hatten sie längst einige Klassiker im Repertoire. Doch mit dem Album „Der blaue Planet“ erreichten KARAT ein nochmal höheres Qualitätslevel. Es wurde die erfolgreichste Amiga-LP im Rock/Pop-Segment und war das erste Album einer ostdeutschen Band, das in der BRD vergoldet wurde. Es erreichte gar die Top10 und hielt sich 48 Wochen lang in den Charts.

Heute gilt „Der blaue Planet“ als zeitloses Kultalbum, Songs wie „Jede Stunde“, „Blumen aus Eis“, „Falscher Glanz“, „Marionetten“ und natürlich „Der blaue Planet“ haben einen festen Platz in der Geschichte der deutschsprachigen Popmusik. KARAT freuen sich darauf, diese Lieder im Rahmen von „45 Jahre Der blaue Planet“ zu würdigen, doch wer die Band kennt, weiß, dass auch die vielen anderen emotionalen Höhepunkte ihrer langjährigen Karriere nicht zu kurz kommen.
